Sabancı Group took the decision to establish Sabancı University in 1994 under the leadership of Sabancı Foundation, Türkiye's largest family foundation.\n\nWith the vision of establishing a "world university" in Turkey, more than 50 scientists, researchers, students and business people from 22 countries working in different disciplines came together at a search conference held in Istanbul in August 1995. The philosophy of a world university to be established in Istanbul was established at the conference: "Creating and developing together."

The first enterprise for agricultural education during the Ottoman State started when Mekteb-i Zirai Şahane (imperial agricultural school) was founded in 1848 in Yeşilköy district. However, due to various reasons, the school was closed in its second year.\n\nA decree in 1867 made it necessary to open an agricultural school and farm samples in the centre of each city. However, there was no action taken on that up until 1884. With a code of practice that came out in 1884, the process of opening agricultural schools started. In those years, Ziraat Müdür-i Umumiye was founded as part of the Trade Inspection. The principal appointed was Sir Agop Amaysan, who had graduated from Grinyon Higher School of Agriculture in France.

Izmir Tınaztepe University is the only thematic university in the region that provides services in the field of health. Our university directly serves the development of our country by serving as a campus university. Izmir Tınaztepe University was built on a 102-acre campus area. Within our university campus, there are 14 educational buildings, two training and research hospitals, student dormitories and many social facilities. Our university was established as a campus university that directly contributes to the development of the region and the country, with the capacity to educate a total of 8000 students in 5 years.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Mudanya University is one of the newest and most innovative foundation universities in Turkey, located in the scenic coastal district of Mudanya in Bursa. Established in 2022 by the Bursa Education and Culture Foundation, it was designed as a modern "boutique" university focusing on high-quality academic output and social responsibility.

Their founding foundation, the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation (TÜDEV), set out with the aim of meeting the need for seafarers in Türkiye, assisting existing maritime educational institutions, activating an educational institution that trains seafarers, and establishing a university (when conditions permit) as stated in the foundation charter, and for this purpose, it has primarily provided the necessary financial support to Maritime Faculties and other maritime educational institutions. The foundation continues to provide this support.
