Architectural Design I - Construction Documents

3 Credit Hours

Introduction to the language and process of producing architectural construction documents for residential projects using CAD software. Students create site plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, and details while learning orthographic projection theory.

Introduction to Construction Surveying and Site Layout

1 Credit Hour

Covers common construction surveying and site layout techniques using optical levels and total stations. Topics include benchmarks, building lines, property lines, differential and profiling through lecture and applied laboratory exercises.

Construction Lab

2 Credit Hours

Provides hands-on experience applying technical construction processes, equipment safety, and teamwork by building components using industry-standard materials and equipment. Includes practical application of techniques used in residential and commercial construction and Virtual Design and Construction technology.

Construction Estimating
