Curriculum and Modules

The MSc Physician Associate Studies consists of 7 integrated modules totalling 180 credits at Level 7. The first year focuses on didactic teaching and clinical simulation in areas such as human anatomy, pathophysiology, clinical skills, and professional issues. The second year features rotational clinical placements in hospitals and general practices across North Wales, along with a research project.

Develops core clinical competences including patient clerking, history taking, examination, diagnosis, and initial management plans through progressive clinical placements in community medicine, general hospital medicine, surgery, mental health, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics.

Human Anatomy in Relation to PA Practice

Provides an in-depth understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy of the human body, concentrating on knowledge relevant to clinical settings including pathological processes, diagnosis, and therapies.

Pathophysiology for Physician Associates
